The McGrew-Anderson Library

Our lab houses an extensive library in the fields of primatology & human evolution. This was made possible by two very generous donations of the private collections of Profs. William C. McGrew (Past: Cambridge University; Present: St Andrews University) and James Anderson (Past: Stirling University, Present: Kyoto University). We are currently in the process of organising and cataloguing this legacy, and welcome enquiries from students interested in helping us to build our digital catalogue, while potentially carrying research focusing on the re-examination of some very early primatological work in light of the current state of the art in the fields of Primatology and Human Evolution. We house some rare documents from the early days of primatological research,e.g. original reprints from Raymond Dart, Louis Leakey, Jane Goodall, etc.
